LOCAL COMMUNITIES

The role of local communities is essential to protecting Mobula rays. Our projects involve fishermen, institutions, and local people in order to work toward shared goals. Our work seeks to understand threats to Mobulas in small-scale fisheries and from unregulated tourism. We work with local people and tourism companies for a common objective: to ensure the conservation and longevity of these vulnerable species for generations to come.
